The UK’s number one independent snack brand, PROPER, has created a limited edition pack to support charitable crowdfunding platform, Beam, in ending homelessness.
Launching into stores nationwide this month, the on-pack initiative kicks offthe brand’s long-term charity partnership with Beam.For every pack of its best-selling,Sweet & Salty flavoursold, PROPER will donate 2p to Beam, helping support a homeless person into stable employment. The limited edition pack, which features a new “PROPER Night In” logo, will introduce 1 million shoppers to Beam’s unique platform and fund 10 people out of homelessness.
At least 320,000 people are homeless in the UK, with numbers rising by more than 1,000 each month. The first platform of its kind, Beam allows anyone to help a homeless person by crowdfunding their employment trainingand providing them with the skills they need to find paid work.
“Beam provides a genuine solution to the hugeissue of homelessness that we’re facing,” said PROPER co-founder, Cassandra Stavrou. “Every person who buys a bag of our Sweet & Salty for their night in this Autumn,willnot only be raising funds for Beam butwill also be helping us spread the word about the amazing work that this unique organisation is doing.”
