Available in 6 varieties – Assorted Toffees, Treacle, Liquorice, English Creamy Toffees, Nutty Brazil and Milk Chocolate Eclairs. The new printed bag depicts a silhouette of a boy flying a kite and the old Walkers delivery van on its way, giving the consumer a feeling of naturalness and simplicity. Walkers are keen to highlight there are no artificial colours, preservatives, or hydrogenated vegetable used in this unique family recipe.
When displayed the bags reflect quality and heritage which is what Walkers are all about. The company was started in the late 19th century by potter Edward Joseph Walker and has come a long way since its humble beginnings. It is now managed by the 4th generation of the Walker family. There are few companies who can boast this establishment today. One would consider them purveyors of toffee after over 100 years of cooking experience and using all the finest ingredients selling simply on quality rather than price.
Emma Walker comments, “If taste and consistency are good, consumers will always come back for more. Walkers have a loyal consumer base but want to attract younger people and introduce them to a quality product made with loving care. Once you have tasted the best there is no going back! 2010 is all about moving forward for us to improve all areas of what we do and how we can do it better. At the end of the day the consumer will be the judge of that!”
The bags are available in shelf ready displays of 12.
