A new Thatchers Gold multi-pack format has been introduced into the off-trade.

With its distinctive black and gold packaging, the 8 x 440 ml can pack has strong shelf presence with clear recognition of the Somerset cider maker. Offering consumers a convenient format for volume pick-up, the pack has already been listed by Morrisons.

The pack sits alongside the Thatchers mixed case, which contains two 500 ml bottles each of Thatchers Gold, Thatchers Pear, Old Rascal and Green Goblin. Each cider has a different taste experience, representing the quality and depth of ciders crafted by Thatchers, the pack designed to drive trial and awareness of the brands.

Managing director and fourth generation cider maker Martin Thatcher says, “With these two packs comes a great opportunity for retailers to drive volume and meet the continuing demand for premium heritage cider.

“Thatchers continues to outperform the market place both in terms of volume and value, and we are delighted that sales of Thatchers Gold are growing at +100%, that’s more than nine times the total market growth*. It’s clear that consumers love the crafted, premium nature of our ciders, and these multi-pack formats are a great opportunity for retailers to share in this popularity.”

Thatchers Cider crafts its ciders at Myrtle Farm in Somerset, using only the highest quality and tastiest apples, and specialist knowledge gained over four generations of cider-making.
