KellyDeli, the company behind the international Japanese food-to-go franchise Sushi Daily, is launching a new range of handmade sushi for the world’s biggest date night on 14 February.

To inspire consumers to think beyond the traditional dozen red roses, a colourful array of delicious, freshly prepared, Asian-inspired sushi has been created as the perfect at-home Valentine’s Day dinner for two.

The Valentine’s special named Sushi Date is available is available at Sushi Daily counters at selected Waitrose and Asda stores nationwide.

The beautifully presented selection of eight different kinds of sushi, topped off with a celebratory salmon and cucumber rose centrepiece, will be available from 7 to 21 February.

Promising ‘Love at First Bite’, it comprises six salmon verde maki – Sushi Daily’s signature rice with raw salmon and avocado wrapped in lettuce and rice paper. There are four avocado maki, two tuna maki and two salmon maki – the hugely popular seasoned rice and nori cylinders. The much-loved ‘inside out’ California maki also makes an appearance, with six rolls dotted with sesame seeds.

Loved-up diners will also find four spicy salmon rolls, which have been sprinkled with shichimi chilli pepper; four spicy salmon nigiri flavour bombs – Sushi Daily’s classic salmon nigiri with spicy mayo and shichimi on top; four tuna nigiri flavour bombs – the classic tuna nigiri with a ginger and chive topping, and the salmon and cucumber rose adorning the centre of the display.
