Welcome to Thatchers Somerset Fruit Ciders, and in particular to our new cider for 2013 – Thatchers Somerset Mixed Fruit.

Thatchers-Mixed-Fruit,-Rosé,-Pear-groupThatchers Somerset Mixed Fruit combines the rural provenance of Thatchers Somerset Cider with natural fruit juices; the result is a refreshing fruit cider that makes a welcome addition to the Thatchers range.

A blend of natural fruits – blackcurrant, raspberry, strawberry and blackberry – this 4% cider is juicy and fresh tasting, with all the quality of Thatchers apple cider. Softly sparkling, it has a refreshingly more-ish taste and can be enjoyed simply chilled or over ice.

Our master cider maker has used this fine blend of berries to craft a unique aromatic taste.

Thatchers Somerset Mixed Fruit now joins Thatchers Somerset Rosé, and Thatchers Somerset Pear, in our Somerset Fruit Ciders range.

Available in a 500ml bottle, Thatchers Somerset Mixed Fruit will be available in both the On and Off trade.

The launch of Thatchers Somerset Mixed Fruit is being supported by a consumer and trade media campaign, radio and outdoor advertising in the South West, social media and a PR programme, together with sampling at regional food shows and events.

Martin Thatcher, fourth generation cider maker and Managing Director of Thatchers Cider says, “It’s important to us to ensure that any cider that leaves the gates of Myrtle Farm represents the very best of Somerset cider.

“Thatchers Somerset Mixed Fruit is a cider that has been on the cards for some time, but we wanted to make sure we got the blend of berries and Thatchers Cider absolutely right.

“This premium fruit cider will stand out for consumers and, combining the heritage and traditional production methods with the essence of rural Somerset, it is different to any other cider in the market.

“We are exceptionally proud of this latest cider to be leaving the gates of Myrtle Farm.”
