- The new Quaker Porridge to Go Filled bars will be available in packs of two from the 13th September
Quaker is expanding its Porridge to Go range with the introduction of two new filled bar options. Available from the 13th September 2020, Quaker Porridge to Go Filled will be introduced to the market as a two-bar pack. The duo range will be available in two delicious flavours: Cocoa & Hazelnut, and Red Berries.
Bursting with flavour, Quaker has launched the filled bars in response to new research which shows that taste is the number one driver for breakfast bar choices. The new format is also set to drive penetration with younger consumers, with breakfast bars a popular choice for under 35’s[1]. As with the other Quaker Porridge to Go range, the new filled bars also contain 100% wholegrain oats and provide the same amount of oats as a bowl of porridge*.
Danielle Mendham, Senior Brand Manager at Quaker, comments: “Quaker Porridge to Go has been hugely successful within the cereals category, with whopping growth of +74% in 2019 versus the prior year[2]. As shoppers demand a greater range of healthier breakfast bar options, we have broadened our offering with new innovation, which delivers on taste and convenience, and provides an even greater choice for shoppers.”
“Our early consumer testing has shown that the new filled innovation proves popular with younger consumers[3] who are on the lookout for healthy options that add an extra burst of flavour. This launch will continue to offer the perfect breakfast option for those with busy mornings.
