Trailblazers of fruit cider, Brothers is launching a Red Apple English Cider in response to increased demand for medium and sweeter apple styles. Hot on the heels of its Marshmallow and Tutti Frutti flavours, unveiled in February, Brothers Red Apple will be available in 10 x 440ml can multipacks in ASDA, B&M and other retailers.

With an ABV of 5%, Brothers Red Apple is made from the juiciest Somerset apples and available in 440ml cans. Available to consumers from 1st July 2020, it is Vegan friendly, gluten free, and free from artificial sweeteners.

Cider has seen strong growth during lockdown, with an additional £3m sold in the first four weeks alone, as customers moved to drinking at home. Brothers is the fastest growing premium mainstream fruit cider brand in the off trade, with value growth currently outperforming the category at 35.5%.

Matthew Showering, Managing Director, commented: “Brothers is in an extremely strong growth position right now, with Gen Z and Millennials driving this with their continual search for new flavours. We have recently witnessed a change in tastes towards medium and sweeter styles and so have developed Brothers Red Apple to meet this demand, whilst ensuring we add value to the apple cider category.

“We are confident that our new, premium mainstream Red Apple English Cider will appeal to current Brothers’ fans, whilst also targeting new apple cider consumers, with its sweeter, on trend flavour.”
