The British Turkey Federation has ramped up their consumer PR activity with a media campaign as part of the I Love British Turkey activity featuring TV Chef Phil Vickery.

The activity, including a series of ‘How to’ recipe films kicks off this month with the first film – Creamy British Turkey with Cider & Apples -being syndicated on approx. 12 websites.

The recipe films are just one element of the I Love British Turkey campaign which aims to encourage consumers to cook with turkey all year round. Phil Vickery will also be the voice of British Turkey in a number of radio interviews which are planned for the late spring and supported with radio competitions. All the recipes shown are based around the great taste of turkey, versatility in cooking and convenience.

Lorna Cousins, Chair of the Publicity & Marketing Committee for British Turkey said: The ‘I love British Turkey’ campaign is all about engaging with consumers, creating a dialogue and encouraging them to rethink their midweek meals.  Many consumers are short of time and inspiration and cook the same dishes week in, week out.  We are asking them to consider other dishes using turkey.  Phil Vickery is a great ambassador and passionate supporter of British Turkey, and the new webfilms show just how easy it is to make the most of turkey all year round.
