Over the course of twelve years, One Stop has raised an incredible £1.2 million for BBC Children in Need – and this year, they’re determined to add even more to their fundraising bucket!
The convenience retailer has achieved this monumental amount through a variety of ways such as selling merchandise, hosting bake sales, organising charity walks and this October, One Stop are opening a pop-up shop at the Meadowhall shopping centre, in Sheffield.
Jack Taylor, Community Partnerships Manager at One Stop said: “We’re so excited to be opening our pop-up shop, specifically for Children in Need. Customers are in for a treat – they’ll be able to get their hands on a range of fantastic merchandise! They’ll have to be quick though, we’re only there for two days”
Opening on Saturday 9th November, from 9am until 8pm and Sunday 10th November, from 11am until 5pm (times are subject to change), customers can find the pop-up shop situated beside Primark and Next. The shop will be manned by One Stop colleagues from its Sheffield, Worksop and Mansfield stores.
The money One Stop raise from the pop-up shop, and through its in-store campaign, will help support disadvantaged children and young people – so every penny counts.
The pop-up store will be selling a range of BBC Children in Need merchandise including T-Shirts, badges, ears, pens, plush toys, keyrings, homeware and more.
Pudsey himself will also be popping by to say hello where he’ll be hosting a meet and greet with customers for free.
For the rest of the country, customers can still support the charity by purchasing Pudsey products from their local One Stop store. With its biggest range yet, customers can collect the merchandise until 16th November 2024.
Customers can get their hands on some iconic Pudsey ears for £2.50, snuggle up to Pudsey bear for £5, collect and wear Pudsey pins for £1, write with a Pudsey pen for £1 and drink from a Pudsey-themed water bottle for £3.50. In selected stores there will also be Pudsey keyrings for £2.50 and a Pudsey gold pen for £3.50.
During this store-wide charity campaign, customers should look out for the Pudsey raffle too! Play along and they could be in for a chance to win a giant Pudsey Bear!
Claire Hoyle, Director of Income, Marketing and Communications at BBC Children in Need said “One Stop always go above and beyond with their fundraising and last year they raised a brilliant £200,000 to help BBC Children in Need to lighten the load for children when they need us most. Thank you to all One Stop colleagues and customers for your ongoing support, and we are so excited to see what you’ll achieve this year!” Stay up to date with One Stop’s fundraising efforts on their social channels: Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok and Linkedin.
