Newman’s Own, a brand globally recognised for its salad dressings and dips, is this week releasing its popular Ranch Dressing in a limited-edition bottle inspired by two children’s heartfelt drawing, adding a creative twist to the label that comes with a meaningful backstory.

Newman’s Own Foundation donates 100% of its profits to charities helping kids facing adversity across the world. In the UK, its key charity partner is Over The Wall, which provides residential stays for children with health challenges and disabilities, and their families. The charity provides therapeutic camp-based activities for children aged 8-17, creating an environment of fun, adventure, and creativity.

Bringing purpose to plates and fitting neatly into the brand’s mission, a competition to design a limited-edition label for its Ranch Dressing was launched last year. The competition not only engaged children attending the Over The Wall camps to bring their experiences to life, but it’s hoped that this initiative will help join the dots between consumers and the Newman’s Own 100% profits to charity messaging in a creative way.

The eye-catching and colourful limited-edition labels were designed by two young sisters from Stourbridge who won the competition to design the label whilst attending an Over The Wall camp in The Midlands. The winning design features a range of experiences that children can enjoy at the camps, such as music, campfires, archery and making memories in the outdoors, and will feature on 30,000 limited-edition bottles across the country.

Hitting condiment aisles from November, the limited-edition Newman’s Own Ranch Dressing bottles, will be available to buy exclusively at Sainsbury’s stores from 1st November, and will continue to help drive the charitable mission that lies at the very heart of the company. But you’ll have to hurry as they will only be in stores for a special three-week period.

The limited-edition Ranch Dressing bottles will continue to feature the much-loved tried and tested recipe, with all the creamy, buttermilky goodness combined with tasty, aromatic herbs to bring a dollop of good to dipping or salads.

Nick Maratos, Category Controller at Newman’s Own, said: “It means so much to be supporting Over The Wall and bringing to life what the charity does by using the designs of the children it directly helps. Doing good for others has always been at the core of our purpose at Newman’s Own, and it’s through activities such as this competition that our purpose is actualised and people lives are impacted in a positive way.”
