KP Snacks today announces a new collaboration between its premium hand-cooked crisp brand Tyrrells and multi-award-winning animation studio Aardman’s iconic British animated comedy franchise Wallace & Gromit. Ahead of the release of Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl this winter, Tyrrells has partnered with the famous duo to launch a brand new, limited-edition flavour: Wensleydale & Cranberry

The new product combines sweet, creamy and fruity flavours, delivering an exciting and unique crisp designed to tempt new customers to the Tyrrells brand. The new flavour taps into the fun of the Wallace & Gromit films through Wensleydale’s long-standing association with the franchise as Wallace’s favourite cheese.

Both quintessentially British, the collaboration between Tyrrells and Wallace & Gromit delivers a perfect pairing that creates a sense of nostalgia, while engaging shoppers with an eye-catching pack featuring the well-loved and iconic characters.

Jane Jones, Marketing Manager at KP Snacks, said: “We are delighted to be launching our new collaboration with Wallace & Gromit, an iconic comedy series that shares many values with the Tyrrells brand including its British provenance, a playful sense of humour and the promise of great entertainment. The parallels between our brand and the film series make us the perfect pair to deliver an authentic and unique product to the category with the launch of an exciting, limited-edition flavour.”

Tyrrells Wensleydale and Cranberry is launching exclusively in Co-op stores from the 22nd July in 135g sharing bags with an RRP of £2.75. The launch will be supported by a social media campaign featuring Wallace & Gromit.

Worth £64.7m and growing[1], Tyrrells is a leading premium crisp brand with an impressive 93 Great Taste Awards across the range. With a 14.1% share of Premium CSN, Tyrrells has taste and quality at the heart of its offering[2].
