No.1 Chilean wine brand Casillero del Diablo is excited to announce the launch of a new pair of lighter alcohol and lower-calorie wines,  BeLight Sauvignon Blanc and Rosé. Catering to new health-conscious wine drinkers seeking guilt-free indulgence without compromising on quality, each 125-ml glass contains just 65 calories and has an alcohol content of 8.5%, without sacrificing aromas or flavour in the wine.

Casillero del Diablo’s winemaking team source grapes from regions where the varieties ripen earlier in the season. This enables them to obtain grapes with lower sugar content and, subsequently, lower alcohol content through a 100% natural process.

Casillero del Diablo BeLight Sauvignon Blanc (8.5%) has a pale-yellow colour and a fresh citrus aroma with hints of herbs and white peach, maintaining its freshness in the mouth with pleasant citrus notes.

BeLight Rosé (8.5%) offers soft and delicate wild blackberry and strawberry aromas with subtle floral hints, and is light and fresh on the palate with notes of blackberry and plum, complemented by balanced acidity.

Brands Controller for Concha y Toro UK, Claire Raine, says

“The No and Low Wine Category is seeing significant volume growth in a contracting market, and it is forecast to grow even faster in the months to come. It is well documented that the 18-34 age group in particular are moderating their alcohol intake.  We’re so excited to launch these wines, and after extensive testing among consumer groups we’re really confident that wine shoppers of all types will enjoy the trademark Casillero quality here, but presented in a lighter style for any occasion. “

Both wines will be available from Tesco stores nationwide from 5th August, RRP £7.
