A drink that helps to prevent hangovers has secured national listings in Asda and Costco, just in time for the party season.

Bounce Back is a sparkling, functional health drink which has been developed by biochemists to help Brits wake up feeling replenished following a night out.

The drink is a scientifically-formulated blend of 17 vitamins, minerals, prebiotics and amino acids which help to replenish the body of the essential nutrients that are depleted when it processes alcohol.

It’s the first drink in the UK with choline, a nutrient which supports healthy liver function. It also includes amino acids which help to break down alcohol and reduce blood ethanol, B Vitamins to help with energy levels, magnesium to aid with blood sugar levels, and many more nutrients that help with the recovery process after a night out.

The drink is low calorie, caffeine-free and with no artificial sweetener, and is designed to be enjoyed before going to bed, offering overnight replenishment to help you ‘bounce back’ the next day. It marks a new era of functional beverages – a category which has seen huge popularity and growth over recent years.

The drink is a culmination of years of research – biochemist founders Dhruv Trivedi and Vandana Vijay created 59 different prototypes before landing on the winning formula, which recently secured £1m investment to launch the brand into the UK market.

The new listings come just in time for Christmas parties, as data shows that the number of Brits searching for hangover cures is on the rise. Despite last month’s Sober October movement, Google Trends data shows that the number of Brits searching for ‘how to cure a hangover’ actually surged by 82% in a month.

The similar search term ‘hangover cure’ is also on the up, and last year’s data shows these searches rise consistently each week from mid-November through to Christmas, when they reach the highest peak of the year.

Dhruv Trivedi, co-founder of Bounce Back, said: “Our national listings mark another momentous milestone in Bounce Back’s success, as we help more people across the country to take back tomorrow and say goodbye to that post-social fatigue!

“The timing of our roll-out across supermarket shelves comes at a perfect time for customers too, as we enter the party season and our social lives begin to ramp up with Christmas parties and festive celebrations.

“This busy social life, teamed with the darker, colder mornings, can make it hard to get out of bed even on our best day, which is why we’ve used our background in biochemistry to develop a drink – backed by science – that helps those with busy lifestyles and active social lives to wake up feeling ready to take on the day.”

Bounce Back is vegan and GMO-free. The drink is in 250ml cans, made from recyclable packaging, with an RRP of £2. For more information, visit bouncebackdrinks.com
