• R&W Scott Strawberry Preserve with real Scottish strawberries
• R&W Scott Strawberry Preserve with no added sugar
Established in 1880, the company, which is a standalone division of The Real Good Food Company, has been making jams and marmalades for over 130 years from its factory in Carluke, Lanarkshire. With quality and heritage at its very core, R&W Scott still use time-honoured cooking methods based on traditional recipes with open copper pans and small batches of hand-stirred ingredients to preserve the products’ home-made appeal.
The company’s jams and marmalades recipes are also created using only the finest quality ingredients with a high fruit content. The fruit for all R&W jams was historically sourced from local farms and this tradition has continued with the Scottish berry preserves range, which features only locally grown fruit.
John Easton, managing director for R&W Scott, said: “R&W Scott is renowned as a real legacy brand in Scotland with jams at the very heart of our business. We’ve been making jams for generations and the Tesco listing is testament to our ongoing commitment to deliver great quality products without compromising on taste and affordability.”
The new Scottish Tesco products are currently being sold on an introductory offer during Tesco’s Scottish Favourites promotion on a two for £3.00 basis. Normal RRP is £1.89. R&W Scott is also sold via independents and ASDA. For further information on R&W Scott and its full range of products, please contact Anna Finlay, Head of Commercial on 01555 777917.
