This August, leading herbs and spices brand and flavour expert, Schwartz injected innovation into the packet mixes category with the launch of the new Flavour Shots range – an intense blend of herbs, spices and seasonings, locked in sunflower oil.
Flavour Shots is a world first and a unique new format set to transform the way consumers cook mid-week family favourites at home and is designed for busy families who are looking for inspiration to make tastier, healthier, fuss free meals. The dishes only need a few readily available fresh and store cupboard ingredients.
Three years of research and development have gone into Flavour Shots combined with Schwartz’s strong heritage in herbs and spices. The range has been extensively tested with consumers and 80% thought the product tasted so good they would buy it and try again. With a delicious aroma on opening the product to an intense boost of fresh flavour when tasting the final meal, Flavour Shots offer a multi-sensory experience from the moment consumers start cooking. The product has been designed with convenience in mind – simply spoon the contents into a pan, heat until it sizzles and then combine with the rest of the recipe ingredients.

There are five varieties in the range and these were selected as they feature in the UK’s top favourite meals:

• Indian Mild Masala Curry
• Mexican Fajitas
• Chinese Sweet & Sour
• Spanish Smoked Paprika Chicken
Tapping into consumer demand for health conscious food, the Flavour Shots recipes are all under 350 calories per serving and contain no hydrogenated fat, artificial colours, added preservatives or MSG.
Flavour Shots is the latest in an extensive line of innovative product launches from Schwartz which has included Recipe Inspirations, Grill Mates and 2in1. The Flavour Shots launch is supported by a fully integrated marketing campaign which kicked off with a creative PR campaign from August 2013 onwards.
Flavour Shots have been available on the packet mix fixture from the 19th August. Packaged in unique 52g, single use pots, that deliver a recipe for four, the range will be priced at £1.39 and be available in all major retailers nationwide.
