Pipers Crisps is delighted to add an exciting new flavour to its popular, award-winning range of premium crisps. Their delicious new Beef flavour looks set to be a real winner, combining the taste of the finest British Longhorn beef with Pipers’ famously crunchy potato crisps.
The new Beef flavour meets consumer demand for meat flavoured snacks; in the ‘Out of Home’ marketplace beef is consistently one of the top three best-sellers in terms of value and YoY sales growth.
Pipers Crisps Beef is the company’s first new crisp launch since 2018. Katy Hamblin, Marketing Manager says: “We’re proud to say we don’t just launch new flavours for the sake of it. First, we carefully research and explore food and flavour trends across our marketplace to see if we can meet demands with new lines that taste great, have strong provenance and complement our existing range. Our new Beef flavour will meet these demands; we know this not just because the market data says so, but also because our customers have, over a number of years, been requesting a meat flavour. Our long-anticipated Beef flavour has a ready and willing market place,” Katy adds.
Like all Pipers Crisps, Beef is a strong, ‘grown-up’ flavour, which will be particularly popular in pubs, clubs and bars. It will also satisfy those looking for a meaty premium snack during their daytime eating routine, so it’ll be a hit in the thriving ‘food-to-go’ sector. It will also be a popular choice at home, both as a personal snacking choice in the 40g pack size and as a sharing snack in 150g packs for parties, barbecues and ‘Big Nights In’.
As with all Pipers’ flavours, the provenance and quality of the ingredients is all-important. The company has sourced the finest British beef from Great Berwick Organic Farm in Shropshire where they use sustainable farming methods to produce the very best. Here, third generation family farmers Sam and Claire Barker produce the finest, most flavoursome, organic, pasture-fed Longhorn beef in the country. The herd are grazed over 220 acres of clover-rich meadows on the bank of the River Severn, near the historic market town of Shrewsbury. The Longhorn is Britain’s oldest beef breed and made England famous for its fine roast beef thanks to its succulence, tenderness and flavour.
Pipers Crisps Beef premium crisps are gluten-free, wheat-free and barley-free (as are all Pipers Crisps) and available in 40g packs and 150g sharing bags.
