Ocean Spray® Chilled Cranberry Classic No Added Sugar Juice Drink is launching into Tesco’s chilled juice aisle this summer
Ocean Spray®, the UK’s leading cranberry juice brand1, is launching a No Added Sugar cranberry juice drink (1litre, RRP £1.75) into its chilled range off the back of the success of its ambient No Added Sugar product which for the first time outperforms its flagship Cranberry Classic ambient variety in both value and volume sales.
Launching into the Tesco chilled juice aisle this summer, the new chilled Ocean Spray® Cranberry No Added Sugar, made with whole ripe cranberries and high in Vitamin C antioxidant, comes as increasing numbers of consumers are seeking less sugar in their drinks and healthier ways of refreshment.
Explains Jo Dickinson, senior UK marketing manager, Ocean Spray: “Ocean Spray is the only branded cranberry juice in the chilled juice aisle and as such it is essential we lead the way through innovation by providing no added sugar solutions and healthier options for consumers, particularly in chilled where there seems to be a perception among consumers that fresh or chilled equals better-for-you.

In Chilled Take Home Juice and Juice Drinks, Ocean Spray is gaining value share, with value sales increasing year on year against a backdrop of total brands’ value sales being in decline1. In category terms, currently ambient is outperforming chilled, with Ambient Take Home now the fastest growing category across both value and volume sales, having increased by +16.3% & +4.1% respectively in the last quarter. Ocean Spray is the leading cranberry juice brand in both chilled and ambient.
Back on TV
As part of a push to increase penetration of the Ocean Spray brand amongst a wider range of consumers and beyond its loyal consumer-base, Ocean Spray is taking a new version of its ‘Be Your Berry Best’ advertising campaign on TV this July. The new TV ad, which originally debuted in April 2022, has been updated to highlight messages around taste and health.
All of Ocean Spray’s products come from a cooperative of more than 700 cranberry farmers with over 90 years of tradition and experience, with all profit going back to the farmer families.
