Driven by the rise of the health-conscious consumer, Oakpark has secured a listing with Waitrose for its Naturally Smoked Turkey Breast Rashers.

The rashers, which are low in fat and high in protein, will be available in 150 stores nationwide from the 29 January.

The premium rashers, which are produced in a new production facility in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, are made from sustainably sourced turkey breast, which is then smoked over smouldering beechwood chips for extra distinctive flavour.

The packaging for its Naturally Smoked Turkey Breast Rashers is 90% recyclable. Oakpark’s process to find sustainable packaging was structured through the Origin Green programme – Ireland’s world leading sustainability programme.

As such, we recently acquired a premises in Clonmel that allows us to produce premium and healthier alternatives to traditional pork bacon, such as these Turkey Rashers.

“We’re immensely proud of the quality of these rashers, they are the perfect healthy alternative for a number of different meal occasions, ranging from breakfast to dinner, and we’re delighted to be working with Waitrose to bring them to the UK market.”
