British rapeseed oils available on Ocado
Demonstrating the growing popularity of rapeseed oil, littleseed’s range of extra virgin and three flavoured rapeseed oils are now available on Ocado.
Everyday Essential
Championing British farming credentials and cold pressing techniques, littleseed is positioned as a mid-tier brand; helping to make this lighter and versatile cooking oil accessible to a broad demographic of consumers.
Launched to the trade in August, littleseed has been set up by a Yorkshire farming family. The Ocado listing is the first step to establishing homegrown extra virgin rapeseed oil as a store cupboard essential in the UK. With an RRP of £3.15 for 500ml, littleseed is an affordable oil, designed for everyday family cooking.
Home Grown
Every bottle of the extra virgin oil is produced from the first, and only, pressing of each harvest. At no stage of pressing process is the oil chemically or heat treated. The oil remains exactly as nature intended – maintaining its natural goodness. With eleven times more omega 3 than olive oil, rapeseed oil has the lowest saturated fat content of all oils. Its naturally high smoking point also makes it the perfect choice for frying, roasting and baking.
Full of Flavour
In additional to the nutty extra virgin rapeseed oil, littleseed also produce three flavoured 250ml rapeseed oils (RRP £2.85). Enhanced with herbs, each recipe has been developed for boosting the flavour of easy midweek meals. The range includes Pizza Drizzle Oil – with Chilli, Oregano and Garlic; Potato Wedges Oil – with Garlic and Herb; and Spicy Stir Fry Oil – with Ginger, Chilli and Garlic.
