After the successful launch of GALAXY Desserts in December 2009, Mars Consumer Drinks & Treats (MCD&T) is introducing another favourite confectionery brand to its range of chilled desserts – the TWIX Dessert.
The new TWIX Dessert combines delicious layers that replicate the iconic TWIX sticks. Consumers will enjoy the crunchy biscuit base, a gooey TWIX caramel sauce and a chocolate mousse. It’s topped with a combination of milk chocolate drops and chocolate coated shortcake pieces for a tasty crunch.
Bep Sandhu, Trade Relations Manager for Mars, comments: “We have estimated that the chilled desserts market is worth £151.4 million*. We are confident that this new addition with its different layers of texture and its TWIX taste will continue to invigorate and expand the category.”
The TWIX Dessert is available in a pack of two. Each dessert is a 64 gram pot. The RSP is £1.79 per pack of two.
The new dessert will be available in larger Tesco stores.
The TWIX Dessert will add value to the existing range of GALAXY Desserts:
• GALAXY Dessert (rich chocolate sauce, a light and creamy chocolate mousse, topped with real GALAXY Ripple), and
• GALAXY Caramel Dessert (combining delicious caramel with a light, creamy mousse and real GALAXY Ripple).
