Following the success of its first range of character sweets Bonds Confectionery (established in 1895) has introduced two new products Horatio Hog and Horatio & Friends. Horatio Hog strawberry flavoured gums come in a 70g bag and retail at 49p, while the larger mixed flavour Horatio & Friends 150g bag, is priced at 99p. Both products are now available to retailers across the UK.
The delicious strawberry flavoured Horatio Hog and mixed fruit Horatio & Friends have been designed to appeal to a wide audience, from children to adults with their fun characters and vibrant flavours including cherry, orange and peach. The packaging design reflects this ethos, using unique soft touch bags and bright colours to make the product appealing to the eye and create high visual on shelf display whether it is displayed on retailer hooks or in Bonds Confectionery’s shelf ready packaging.
To further add to its appeal the Horatio Hog recipe contains natural colours and uses natural flavourings, an approach which is popular with consumers.

The initial motivation to create our own character sweets was to produce a stand-alone confectionery product to complement our traditional and well established Sweet Shop range and the 39p kids bag range. Horatio Hog comes in 20 x 49p SRP’s and Horatio & Friends 12 x 99p SRP’s.
