To capitalise on the success of its glass jar yoghurt range, specialist West Cork dairy brand, Glenilen Farm, is launching a new range of chilled cheesecakes into Sainsbury’s stores.

Available from mid-November, the range will consist of handmade cheesecakes in two flavours – Lemon and Mango & Passionfruit.

Made with a crunchy biscuit base, set with Irish butter and topped with a combination of fromage frais and fresh cream, the lemon variety is prepared with freshly squeezed lemon juice to give it a citrus kick, while the Mango & Passionfruit variety contains chunks of mango and real passionfruit seeds inside.

In line with the company’s sustainability mission, the range is presented in a tub made from recycled bottles with a push-up base to ensure easy and mess-free removal.

Speaking on the launch, Alan Kingston, owner of  Glenilen Farm said: “Following the success of our glass jar yoghurt range which has seen sales grow by 50% in Sainsbury’s YOY, we’re delighted to announce that the retailer will stock our range of handmade cheesecakes just in time for the busy Christmas shopping period. Ready-made and ideal to serve after dinner, the products work perfectly served as a weekday treat or as part of a celebratory meal.”

Glenilen Farm is a family-run farm set up by husband and wife team, Alan and Valerie Kingston in West Cork, Ireland. The company produces yoghurt, cheesecakes and country butter as well as a range of other high-quality dairy products. It is one of the leading Irish yoghurt brands in Ireland with over 25% of its business in the UK.

The cheesecakes will be available in select Sainsbury’s stores from 20th November. RRP: £4.50
