• Asda is celebrating Ramadan this year, with its biggest range yet, including 150 new product lines and Ramadan aisles in 150 stores
  • With everything from Halal products, tinned ingredients and cookware – Asda is a one shop for all things Ramadan both in store and online
  • New to Asda this year, are Ramadan Countdown Calendars, The Desi Doll Company’s popular talking Muslim dolls and 18 lines of dates in different varieties

This year, Asda is celebrating its biggest Ramadan yet, with 150 new product lines, more great deals and an easier shopping experience than ever before across the store.

Whether you’re looking for Halal products, tinned ingredients, frozen food, baked goods, fresh fruit and vegetables or even cookware, look no further than the variety and breadth of choice on offer, at selected Asda stores and online.

New to Asda this year, ensuring there’s something for the whole family, are Ramadan Countdown Calendars with celebratory chocolate treats inside (£3 or 2 for £5). These calendars provide a highly engaging and interactive way to educate children on the significance of Ramadan.

Another new listing, includes innovative, bi-lingual soft plush talking Muslim dolls (£30) from The Desi Doll Company. Founder, Farzana Rahman, launched her business in 2008 after noticing the lack of Islamic toys to teach children about religion and faith. “I left my banking career and designed Aamina and Yousuf,” says Farzana. “These are two interactive plush dolls that talk and sing when you press their hands, feet and nose! They teach children the basics of the Islamic faith in a fun and light-hearted way.”

This year will also feature Asda’s biggest range of dates, perfect for breaking the fast and gifting to friends and family. The extensive range includes multiple varieties, plus, syrups and pastes. Osama Aziz, founder of Sara International Ltd, is stocking its Madina and Palestinian Medjoul dates for the first time ever in Asda. Commenting on the new listing, founder, Osama Aziz, says, “it’s a great chance to reach a wider group of Muslims and I believe it will help us offer top-quality dates at affordable prices.”
