In celebration of B Corp® month, Freestar – the world’s first alcohol-free beer brand to certify as a B Corp® – is hosting a networking breakfast on the 31st March at Club Soda Tasting Room in Soho, London, alongside likeminded businesses, Club Soda and Cook.

At the event, the three leading businesses will be taking part in a panel session to share their knowledge on how to apply for B Corp®  status, discuss what it means to be certified, and bring to light the positive social and environmental impact it can have, as well as the benefits it brings to communities.

The breakfast hopes to inspire other businesses, whether that be those who are already certified, those currently going through the process, or brands looking to take the leap, and offer advice on how to imprint good practice into their organisation.

As leaders in the social impact movement and as the world’s first alcohol-free beer brand to attain B Corp® status, Freestar has worked tirelessly since 2019 to make their brand as environmentally and socially responsible as possible. The drinks brand has made caring for people and the environment part of its DNA and hopes to encourage other organisations to follow a similar path.

Even though becoming a BCorp Certified brand is a rigorous process, it can help brands, especially those at an early stage, explore how they can imprint good practice into everything they do. Freestar, along with Club Soda and ready-prepared frozen meal brand Cook, hope to better educate people on the importance of having a positive impact on people and the planet.

Every year in March, B Corp® celebrates all Certified B Corporations around the world and is known as B Corp® Month. It’s a month where proud businesses highlight their journey and educate people on the positive impact they have on workers, customers, the community and the environment.

The B Corp® networking breakfast is free to attend and will take place at 9:00am-11:00am on 31st March. Brands and guests who wish to attend will be able to enjoy some great company, pastries, tea and coffee, and a breakfast beer cocktail, whilst hearing from Freestar, Club Soda and COOK as they offer some valuable information on how they’ve embedded social impact into their business.

Felix Von Hurter, Freestar’s co-founder said: “We are incredibly proud to be a B Corp-certified brand, and in honour of B Corp month, we want to invite people to learn about our journey and educate people on the positive impact our work has on the community and environment. By holding an event alongside Club Soda and COOK, we hope to inspire like-

James Rutter, Creative Chief Officer at Cook said: ‘The simple fact is every consumer in the UK should be a B Corp. Every business should care about people and the planet, not just profit. Every business should be measuring and delivering a positive impact. And there’s never been a better time to become part of the B Corp community.”

Laura Willoughby MBE, co-founder at Club Soda said: “The alcohol-free sector, being brand spanking new, is full of amazing brands who have lived and breathed B Corp values from their very inception, just like Freestar, Cook and even us! It is an important recognition for any business trying to do good in the world. I am chuffed that we can collaborate and share the benefits of being a B Corp with our friends and peers. Because only together do we get to build a better world.”
