Lancashire-based Farmhouse Fare, the market leader in the £90 million* traditional puddings market, is making its debut in frozen puddings.
The hand made, chilled pudding producer is launching two 450g frozen puddings – Luxury Sticky Toffee, all butter date sponge with sticky toffee sauce, and Luxury Sticky Chocolate, chocolate sponge with Belgian dark chocolate sauce.
The two puddings cook straight from frozen in a microwaveable tray and are ready to eat in four minutes, or they can be cooked in the oven. The rrp is £2.99.
“We have identified an opportunity for a brand with a reputation for quality to drive growth in the premium frozen desserts category which is under-performing in both volume and value, particularly compared to chilled puddings,” says Nigel Parrott, Daniels

“Whilst consumers are actively seeking better value food products, in times of recession they look to comfort food and do not want to compromise on taste or quality, particularly when they want to indulge with a treat such as a chilled or frozen traditional pudding.”
The two Farmhouse Fare frozen puddings have already secured a listing in Waitrose, with other listings expected shortly.
