Baxters has stepped into new territory within the soup aisle, launching the first ever tinned Plant Based soup – the range is the perfect meal choice for those looking for a vibrant, vegan friendly option.

The leading soup brand consistently champions new and innovative products and its three delicious plant powered variants are now available at Tesco from £1.55, with further listings to follow later in the year.

Using only fresh, healthy and natural ingredients, the three flavours available are: Jackfruit, Three Bean & Chipotle; Sri Lankan Sweet Potato and Butternut Squash & Lentil Dhansak.

The three new soups were inspired by traditional recipes from around the world including Mexico, Sri Lanka and India and have been specially developed to be bursting full of natural and wholesome flavours.

Baxters has created this nutritious range as part of its ongoing commitment to ensure there is a convenient and delicious choice for all customers, particularly those who follow a vegan diet or who are looking to include more plant-based foods into their diet.

In true Baxters style, the Plant Based range has been created by its very own development chef Darren Sivewright. Using the same high-quality ingredients and methods the Baxters brand is synonymous with, the chef has created a selection of flavours to appeal to everyone.

Darren Sivewright, Development Chef at Baxters Food Group, said: “Creating a Plant Based range is something I’ve wanted to do for a while. As a chef, I love playing around with different ingredients, especially those you wouldn’t expect to see in a tinned soup, so I enjoyed the challenge of coming up with new flavours that were also suitable for a vegan diet.

“My inspiration for the Plant Based range came from popular recipes from around the world. Introducing fresh and wholesome ingredients like jackfruit and butternut squash allows the soup to be both nutritious and filling – the perfect combo for any meal.”
