From the beginning of September the first native oysters will be gracing our dining tables, which also means that it’s time for the annual Tabasco® British Oyster Opening Championship.
This year the competition will be held at Holborn Dining Room on Monday 8th September.
Contestants will open 30 oysters against the clock and then their platter will be judged for presentation by a panel of experts. Meanwhile an invited audience cheers on their heroes. It’s a grand way to get the oyster season off to healthy a start.

Entry to the competition is restricted to professional oyster shuckers. As space is limited, the event will be restricted to ticket holders only with a strict door policy.
