Union Industries has returned to Roberts of Port Dinowic to keep its high standard prepared meals fantastically fresh with a stateof- the-art Eiger Freezer Door.
Roberts of Port Dinorwic, who work with organisations across the UK and internationally, needed a more efficient alternative to replace and upgrade a slow, insulated door, which was located at the entrance to its main freezer.
After purchasing two full stainless steel Matadoors from Union Industries in 2015 for the chilled food area, Roberts of Port Dinowic made the decision to purchase an Eiger Door to replace the previous slow sliding door.
Union’s Eiger Door is the first automatic fast-acting, rapid roll freezer door to operate at high speed effectively, which in this case allows the area to remain at -20°c, whilst decreasing the amount of ambient air making its way into the freezer.
Since installing the door, there has been a significant reduction in snow and ice build-up on the door blade and around the freezer opening as well as helping to cut down maintenance and energy costs. Similar to other rapid action doors in Union’s range, the Eiger Door also boasts the ‘Crash-Out & Auto- Reset’ feature which allows the door to remain operable even after an impact to the bottom beam.
