tesa’s Lift & Reseal, a high tech tape developed for the effective reclosure of flexible packaging, is returning to this year’s Packaging Innovations London show with a new addition to its family.
Since its first appearance at the 2013 show, tesa Lift & Reseal has gone global, with major retailers and brand owners around the world specifying the system for use on different products and pack sizes.
tesa Lift & Reseal ‘Fresh’ has been designed for short shelf life products and will be showcased on the tesa stand, GB37, alongside the in-line dispenser which delivers the spool wound tape directly to pack.
Lift & Reseal unwinds from spools, controlled by a brake and buffer system, which provide maximum speed and efficiency. The dispensers are provided free of charge as part of the ‘tesacohesion®’ customer care package, which includes an end-to-end installation and commissioning service that ensures dispensers are installed within a day, without reducing packaging line speed.
Where other tapes provide limited reclosure actions, tesa Lift & Reseal is designed to effectively reclose packs more than 20 times, allowing consumers to reseal film based food packs for the product’s lifetime. Lift & Reseal remains adhesive faced as packs reduce in size and remains usable even if the adhesive face becomes dusty.
For one provider of high quality snacks to the catering trade, the recent installation of Lift & Reseal has resulted in better process efficiencies which have led to increased product quality and higher levels of customer satisfaction.
There were two clear advantages in using Lift & Reseal. The customer could opt for a bespoke branded solution and no modifications to machinery or interference was required, allowing application in the factory rather than outsourcing to a third-party packer.
Lift & Reseal delivers a simple and effective way of replacing complex methods of opening and closing the large food packs used by caterers, ensuring products are kept to a high standard of freshness and flavour and prolonging shelf life.
Building on this success, tesa is now developing reclosure solutions for manufacturers and retailers in the UK, Europe, Russia and Japan, delivering competitive edge through the consumer benefits of enjoying fresh food across extended periods of storage.
tesa systems are now the definitive reclosure tape engineering solution for the industry and the company will be welcoming visitors to its stand at Packaging Innovations London – which takes place from 30th September to 1st October – to discuss their specific reclosure requirements.
