Ben & Jerry’s is bringing even more chunks and spoon-free joy to freezers nationwide with the launch of its new Ice Cream Sticks, transforming two fan-favourite flavours into a delicious handheld option. The new format is set to give retailers a fresh way to bring the Ben & Jerry’s experience beyond the tub, meeting the demand¹ for convenient, portioned treats.

Available in two iconic flavours – Cookie Dough and Chocolate Fudge Brownie – each Stick serves up the chunks and indulgence shoppers know and love. The Cookie Dough Stick pairs vanilla ice cream with generous chunks of chocolate chip cookie dough, while Chocolate Fudge Brownie combines rich, chocolate ice cream with chewy brownie pieces. Finished with a decadent chocolatey coating, they’re a handheld twist on two Ben & Jerry’s classics that are consistently the brand’s most popular flavours².

The new additions to the range are designed to build on the strength of Ben & Jerry’s core flavours, tapping into growing demand within the handheld ice cream segment³. Handhelds represent the largest format by value share in ice cream, accounting for 38% of category value and growing +5% CAGR over the past two years4.

Lucy McManus, Ben & Jerry’s Brand Manager, commented: “From chunks and swirls to unforgettable flavours, we’ve built our reputation on delivering indulgent ice cream experiences. Cookie Dough and Chocolate Fudge Brownie have long been among our most iconic flavours, so expanding into a handheld format felt like a natural next step. For retailers, it’s an exciting opportunity to meet growing demand5 for delicious treats on the go, while giving fans another irresistible way to get their Ben & Jerry’s fix.”

Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Sticks multipacks will be available in Tesco from 21st September, and available in the wider market from January 2027.

The Sticks launch will be joined by another exciting new Ben & Jerry’s innovation, Love Nut Hate. Available in a tub format, the new flavour combines sweet cream ice cream with pistachio swirls and pastry pieces.

What’s even sweeter; a portion of the proceeds from every tub go toward supporting organisations that uplift refugee communities. Ben & Jerry’s Up Collective initiative is an international livelihood programme launched in 2017 to support early-stage forcibly displaced entrepreneurs through a 12-week course alongside part-time employment. The project has supported more than 600 entrepreneurs across four cities, with 148 businesses launched and 89 job placements.
