Freedom Food Labelled Cheese Awarded Top Prize in Athens.
Recently launched Freedom Food labelled cheddar cheese, Spoilt Cow, has got off to a flying start after scooping the highly coveted Best New Cheese award in the Dairy Innovation Awards recently held in Athens. The awards provide a unique platform for the celebration of excellence and innovation in the global dairy industry and receive entries from all over the world competing for one of the prestigious awards.
Categories reflect the industry’s growing focus on environmental, sustainability and ethical issues, and as such, Spoilt Cow was the perfect candidate, combining all of these factors with a cheese taste sensation.
Winning the award for Best New Cheese, Spoilt Cow was deemed an international innovator by an esteemed judging panel, highlighting its ethical standards of production whilst delivering a delicious mature taste.
Catapulting it into the dairy limelight, Spoilt Cow, from leading UK dairy company Fayrefield Foods, and produced on award-winning Denhay Farm, features the RSPCA’s Freedom Food scheme logo which prescribes high welfare standards for farm animals. As the UK’s only farm assurance scheme dedicated solely to farm animal welfare, Freedom Food offers product traceability from farm to table.

Using milk from cows reared on Freedom Food-approved Denhay Farm in West Dorset, Spoilt Cow comes in the light of increasing consumer demands for traceability and ethical rearing.
As part of its campaign to support the welfare of Britain’s animals, Fayrefield Foods will be giving 5p to the RSPCA for every pack of Spoilt Cow cheese sold.
