Philip Morris Limited (PML), the affiliate of Philip Morris International (PMI) in the UK and Ireland, has appointed Silviu Miron to the role of Head of Commercial Planning.
Joining PMI in 2019 as Head of Field Force Transformation in Lausanne, Switzerland, Silviu led the development of the Field Coaches strategy, culminating with a post-pandemic vision for the Field Force, formulating a contact strategy framework and driving the adoption of a digital trade platform through strategic interactions with consumers and retailers.
PMI is building its future on smoke-free products that, while not risk-free, are a much better alternative to continuing to smoke cigarettes. In his new role, Silviu will continue to drive this ambition in the UK by delivering cutting-edge smoke-free products, placing IQOS consumers and retailers at the heart of everything this team does.
Under his leadership, PML’s Commercial Planning team will continue to lead from the front, contributing to positive change as PMI strives to achieve its goal of reaching a smoke free future. His team will be taking responsibility, not only for the Go-to-Market strategy and deployment, but also for the wider ecosystem of partnerships encompassing the PMI business stakeholders and Retail network.
Since 2008, PMI has invested $10.5 billion in the development of scientifically substantiated smoke-free products to create better, satisfying alternatives for adults who would otherwise continue to smoke cigarettes.
