Otrivine, the No.1 global decongestant brand***, has returned to screens this October with an all-new TV advert, promoting its Congestion Relief Nasal Spray. The TV advert is backed by a supporting consumer social media campaign and highlights the comfort and ease of the new Otrivine Congestion Nasal Spray device, with the same trusted formulation, which launched in February this year.
Nasal congestion happens when the inside of your nose becomes irritated. This irritation sets off a reaction of inflammation, swelling and mucus production, making it hard to take in air through your nose[1].. The Latest innovation from Otrivine offers a push button applicator for easy and accurate dosing2. It contains 0.1% xylometazoline hydrochloride to unblock your nose in 2 minutes and last up to 10 hours.
Depicting a humorous representation of the discomfort using nasal sprays can cause, the TV advert features a playful scene with a goose and a water jet stream. In the advert, the central character uses the Otrivine nasal mist* device and feels relief within just two minutes – enabling them to live life without disruptions. Aimed at those who are reluctant to use nasal sprays, the TV advert showcases the patented technology† created by Otrivine, that delivers a fine mist* with a 2x shorter nozzle, making the product more comfortable to use**2.
Monica Michalopoulou, GBI Marketing Director, Haleon, said: “It’s been a busy year for Otrivine, with investment into our innovation pipeline and above the line media. We want to ensure that consumers remain engaged with the brand, helping to drive footfall in stores during the winter months when more people are seeking decongestants. Our new TVC features the product’s advanced technology and design, demonstrating how managing nasal congestion can be both effortless and effective.”
The new TV advert is running from October 2024 until January 2025 and is being supported by social and digital placements, along with year-round paid search and SEO support. Otrivine Congestion Relief Nasal Spray is available across the grocery channel, including Boots, Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsburys, Superdrug, Asda, Morrisons, and Ocado, with an RRP of £6.
