Burton’s Biscuit Company is introducing an irresistible combination of ‘Swavoury’ (sweet and savoury) flavours to one of the UK’s best-loved biscuit brands with the launch of two new delicious variants of Cadbury Fingers, the UK’s number one special treat biscuit brand.*
The new ‘Swavoury’ Cadbury Fingers range has just been launched and comprises two variants, Salted Caramel Crunch and Salted Peanut Crunch.
The category-boosting new products will be supported by a £1 million marketing programme which breaks in March / April, focussed on driving both awareness and trial.
“Targeted specifically at adults who we know are keen to try intriguing new flavour combinations, the ‘swavoury’ Cadbury Fingers will provide a strong premium offering within our main Cadbury Fingers range and will add value by encouraging shoppers to trade up,” says David Costello, Burton’s Biscuit Company’s Head of Customer Category Management.
“These exciting new products offer adults a more indulgent, sophisticated treat which is reflected in the more premium pack design. Both variants are ideally suited to an evening treat or simply for when people want to indulge and enjoy some unusual flavour combinations that work really well together.”
The combination of sweet and savoury has driven significant growth in many other snacking categories, providing the inspiration for category-boosting NPD, e.g. swavoury popcorn which has generated incremental sales of 15% in the total popcorn category.**
Both Cadbury Fingers Salted Caramel Crunch and Salted Peanut Crunch feature an rrp of £1.89 and come in case sizes of 20, joining the £45 million Cadbury Fingers brand, the UK’s best-selling special treat biscuit.*
