The smoothie brand has pledged to donate £40,000 to the charity, via the sale of a limited-edition bottle

Naked has announced that its partnership with Stonewall will continue for a second year, with the brand contributing up to £40,000 in 2022. In June and July, the brand’s Rainbow Machine Smoothie will feature the Stonewall badge, and 5p from each bottle sold will be donated to the Stonewall Young Futures programme.

Young Futures has been designed to help LGBTQ+ young people take the next step into education, training or work, and offers a proactive way for Naked to show its support of equality, diversity and inclusion in our society. So far, with Naked’s contribution, Stonewall has been able to help young people feel more confident and aware of different options and opportunities for the next steps in their future.

The partnership between Naked and Stonewall was established in 2021 when Naked debuted its Rainbow Machine Smoothie and the tie-up raised £40,000, which has contributed to helping LGBTQ+ young people who face significant LGBTQ+ specific challenges at home, school, college, university, and work. The launch of Naked Rainbow Machine was the number one Juice Category NPD launch of 2021 and with total value sales of £7.3m it has become one of Naked’s top sellers (Nielsen total coverage 52wk value sales w.e 07.05.22).

In addition to the on-pack promotion, Naked will once again team up with Made in Chelsea star Ollie Locke to show how Naked Rainbow gives you a little boost to be bolder through a series of social videos. Ollie will also highlight the Stonewall partnership and how it is benefiting the LGBTQ+ community.

Charlotte Ashburner, SMM at Tropicana Brands Group, says ‘‘We are delighted to be showing our support for Stonewall for the second year running, building on our existing partnership and showing our support of equality and inclusion.

“Naked Rainbow Machine is a smoothie bursting with fruits and vegetables from all the colours of the rainbow – and with the rainbow being a well-known symbol of the LGBTQ+ community, it gave us the perfect opportunity to celebrate the essential work that Stonewall does to support LGBTQ+ communities.”

Nancy Kelley, CEO at Stonewall says: ‘‘At Stonewall we’re passionate about helping LGBTQ+ people to fulfil their potential. Our Young Futures programme aims to inspire and empower young lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer, questioning and ace people to take their next step in the world, and donations from sales of Naked Rainbow Machine will help reach this goal.’’

Naked Rainbow Machine offers a vibrant drink packed with fruits and vegetables: tangy red apple, sweet mango, zingy kiwi, juicy blackberry and blueberry, pink beetroot, elderberry and smooth banana and is boosted with vitamins C, E, B1, B2 and B6.
