Plant-based m.lk producer Mighty Pea is making oat m.lk mightier this Veganuary by launching a protein oat m.lk both instore and online. Mighty Protein Oat will be available online from the Mighty Pea website, Amazon & Ocado from the 12th of January and later in stores Sainsbury’s (from 17th January) and Tesco (from 25th January) nationwide.
Interest in plant-based milk alternatives is going from strength to strength; over a third of UK households now buy dairy free m.lk[1] with oat being one of the most popular options on the market thanks to its sustainability credentials and nutritional benefits over dairy-based milks. Mighty Pea’s Protein Oat M.lk, for example, boasts an array of nutritional benefits including 8g of protein per glass, which is eight times more than the average oat milk, contains 50% more calcium than cow’s milk and is fortified with Iodine, Vitamin B 12 and Vitamin D.
Speaking on the launch, Nick, Co-founder at Mighty Pea said: “Interest and consumption of oat m.lk is really growing. Much like we’ve seen with other plant-based milk alternatives, consumers are becoming aware of the natural health benefits that can be provided by incorporating these m.lks into your diet so, we’re excited to see Mighty Protein Oat hit the shelves this month.
Speaking on the launch, Tom, Co-founder at Mighty Pea said “We thought it was time oat milk worked harder and started to really give cow’s milk a run for its money when it comes to nutrition. We’ve pushed oat milk to its limit, increasing the protein content and fortifying it with vitamins to give drinkers much more than just a plant-based alternative.”
Mighty Pea’s Protein Oat M.lk can be used like all other oat m.lks, being ideal for cooking, baking or using in hot and cold beverages.
