Lancashire Tea’s cup is running over as a raft of focused sales and marketing activity to support the brand kicks off across the UK.
The tea brand, part of the Spicers’ portfolio of teas, is seeing year on year growth and has launched its first ad campaign which will see it champion the brew on multiple large format digital screens across the North West.
Over recent months, the brand, has also appointed a new Sales Manager, Paul Muench, to expand the listings in the region and across the UK. Paul brings ten years of experience from roles supporting brands including Britvic and Nestle Cereal Partners.
New packaging is also starting to appear, using the iconic line drawn map of Lancashire on pack from mural artist Dave Draws.
The blend has also had some love with months spent investing in the reformulation of the blend, using over 150 years of tea blending expertise, to ensure that it continues to hit a high note with Lancashire palates.
In December 2021 its Communitea Grant scheme was launched, which saw it support a Lancashire village’s Christmas Tree Festival, providing tea for all the residents to bring them together and most recently awarding a grant to Angel’s United a football team for bereaved dads who meet to play other charity teams.
The plan is to continue to select a new group or charity each month to help bring people together over tea.
Phil Toms, Head of Marketing, said: “We understand the power of connecting over tea and this will be the focus of our activity and our messaging over the coming months.
“For years, Lancashire Tea has been quietly on the boil across the UK and with a new team we felt it was time to give the brand and its fans some love and support. The Communitea project is just one element of us giving something back and spreading the word.
“Over the coming year we will continue to focus on our communities while still delivering a great cup of tea and supporting the brand across both wholesale and retail.”
Lancashire Tea is brewed by Keith Spicer and sits alongside other regional teas including Dorset Tea in the Spicers portfolio.
