Geeta’s, the Indian chutney experts, are delighted to announce that their Smooth Premium Mango Chutney was a key ingredient for the Sandwich Designer of the Year 2016.
The Finals were held on 12 May, 2016 at the British Sandwich and Food to Go Association Industry awards, affectionately known as the “Sammies”. In a closely fought contest, contestants from all over the country took part to become The British Sandwich Designer of the Year 2016. Sponsors included Geeta’s, Harvey & Brockless, Norseland Cheese, Universal Meats, Sam Browne Foods and New York Bakery Company.
Kim Hartley, from Gunstone’s Bakery (part of the 2 Sisters Group) won overall Sandwich Designer of the Year 2016, chosen for her consistent display of innovation, creativity and exceptional execution.
Kim won the Geeta’s category with her magnificent Mini Bombay Bundt Bagel Rolls, with 3 mini bagel rolls made using a traditional Indian Naan mixture and filled with Chicken Tikka, Lamb Tikka and Onion Bhagi. Integral to the success of the winning Mini Bombay Bundt Bagel Rolls was Geeta’s Smooth Premium Mango Chutney that helped deliver authentically Indian flavours.
