Last week, Kepak unveiled its latest expansion to its popular one-stop automated retail solution with an innovative first for the sector, a Hot Vend Kiosk.
Against the backdrop of the infamous London Transport Museum, invited guests were treated to an exclusive after-hours look at some of the most iconic forms of transportation from yesteryear as Kepak revealed the future of automated retail innovation.
Launching into the OOH channel this month, the machine will be exclusive to Kepak and will dispense one of its Cook-in-Box range burgers within 80 seconds of the user making their choice. The machine will have the capacity to hold up to 52 of Kepak’s Cook-In-Box range which comprises Cheese Melt, Breakfast Muffin and Peri Peri Chicken burgers.
Guests enjoyed drinks and canapes as Automated retail and New business controller, Foods Division at Kepak, Carl Hunter delivered a presentation that detailed why the new Hot Vend Kiosk was being revealed at the LTM. The ambition for Kepak is to have the Hot Vend Kiosk situated in travel hubs and forecourts across the country later this year and into 2024.
On the successful launch evening and bringing the Hot Vend Kiosk to the UK first, Kepak’s, Carl Hunter said: “We couldn’t think of a more ideal place to launch this latest Kepak technology than being surrounded by transport from the past that operated 24/7. The new Hot Vend Kiosk offers both customers and consumers an easy, fuss-free way to enjoy hot food on the go 24/7, with touch screen pay and go and quick dispense technology.

This year we’ve seen a phenomenal increase in demand at +61%*[1], highlighting the transition to low-cost grab-and-go options while eating out of home.”
