TV Presenter and top UK farmer, Jimmy Doherty has teamed up with Crosse & Blackwell on a delicious new soup range featuring locally sourced produce. Jimmy is hugely passionate about sustainability, sourcing ingredients locally and encouraging people to be more aware of their food comes from. 

Research commissioned by the brand, which marks its 200th anniversary this year, found that 65 percent of the population would rather buy British if given the choice, and 77 percent believe it’s important for companies to support UK suppliers.*

Crosse & Blackwell have a long-standing history of partnering with local producers. As a Suffolk-based farmer and pioneer advocate for educating the public on where their food actually comes from, Jimmy is the perfect for their latest campaign, and was delighted to get involved. Jimmy comments: “The UK has so much fantastic, home-grown produce available. It’s important for British brands to recognise this and support local suppliers.”

Together with Jimmy, this partnership hopes to demonstrate that the benefit of collaborating with British farmers to create both delicious and authentic recipes bursting with flavour. The new flavours have been influenced by a combination of current consumer trends mixed with traditional British favourites. The range includes Cauliflower & Wensleydale, Carrot & Coriander and Butternut Squash & Sage, and supplements the range which already includes Chicken & Multigrain, Broccoli & Stilton, Winter Vegetable and Green Vegetable & Kale.

The new range is available now for £1.00 each (400g) in-store at ASDA and Morrisons.
