Introducing Co-op Irresistible to Cleeve

Shoppers at the newly developed store by award-winning Nisa customer TOUT’S have been sampling the very best of Co-op own brand.

The Irresistible tasting activity was hosted outside the new Cleeve store at the weekend with consumers treated to a range of sample products available to purchase in store.

The event saw the Co-op Irresistible Tasting Van park up for the afternoon and showcase to shoppers some of the favourite lines alongside a selection of new products recently introduced for summer.

Rob Tanner, Head of Retail at TOUT’S, said: “The Co-op own label range is very popular with our shoppers and so the tasting van was a great way for us to let them try before they buy and encourage greater participation in the Irresistible products we stock.”

The list of products sampled during the day included:

• Co-op Irresistible Rib & Brisket Burger: big succulent and juicy Hereford beef burgers with a lightly smoked flavour and a peppercorn & sea salt seasoning
• Co-op Irresistible Pork Sausages: Made with 100% British outdoor bred pork
• Co-op GRO The Bhaji Burger: Good House Keeping Institute ‘Taste Approved 2022’ vegan burgers packed with sweet potato, carrot & red onion with a punch of garlic, ginger, chilli & spices
• Co-op Irresistible West Country Cream Mango and Raspberry Swirl ice Cream: Alphonso mango and passion fruit clotted cream ice cream swirled with a sweet raspberry sauce
• Co-op Irresistible Passion Fruit & Lemon Roulade: Slow-baked meringue, filled with passion fruit and lemon curd, and topped with sweet passion fruit sauces
• Co-op Irresistible Sea Salt & Chardonnay vinegar crisps: Co-op’s famous and award-winning sea salt and chardonnay vinegar crisps

Jonathan Lambert, wholesale category lead at Co-op said: “The event was part of a trial to explore different opportunities available to Nisa retailers, to help increase the uptake in the Co-op own-brand range.

“The tasting van, which showcased some of the great products on offer at TOUT’S, was well received and something we will consider making use of again in the future to help introduce our Irresistible range to even more people.”
