Howard Moss, Astonish CEO has been named as one of The LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders for 2021.

The programme, which is supported by The Times and now in its fourth year, celebrates the inspiring leaders behind some of the UK’s most successful and fast-growing medium-sized firms.

Despite the challenges of the last 18 months, the Top 50 received a record number of nominations; more than 600 proving that ambition is alive and well.

Howard has been leading the brand for over 15 years, with a specific focus on developing Astonish’s greener credentials and championing new product development whilst expanding the firm’s UK facilities.

Astonish has spent nearly 50 years understanding the cleaning challenges real homeowners face and developed products that get the job done, whilst pioneering animal-friendly formulas that are never tested on animals or use animal ingredients. The Yorkshire based brand is the only UK manufactured household cleaning brand which is approved by Cruelty Free International, The Vegan and Vegetarian Society and manufactures over 60 products in stores nationwide.

Howard Moss, Astonish CEO explained, “I’m thrilled to be recognised within the LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Leaders this year, alongside such esteemed industry peers. I’m passionate about developing the Astonish brand and building on its 50 year heritage, however I can’t achieve this vision alone and our dedicated team play an integral role in the brand’s continued success.”

LDC’s John Garner added: “The last 18 months have presented challenges that none of us could have foreseen, but despite everything, it’s fantastic to see that so many business leaders have achieved remarkable things. Through their resourcefulness and resilience, this year’s Top 50 Most Ambitious Leaders prove that the flame of ambition is hard to extinguish. Congratulations to all those featured and we look forward to seeing their continued success and impact, and contribution to the broader UK economy.”
