Hovis® has launched an exclusive ‘win a family holiday’ competition across its popular Best of Both® loaves (£1.35, 800g) to celebrate its partnership with Locksmith Animation.

The limited-edition designs will feature on 4.3 million packs in retailers nationwide as the competition ties in with Netflix’s upcoming hilarious and heart-warming animated film That Christmas.

An engaging shopper competition, the partnership gives consumers across the UK the chance to win a family holiday for four to snow-filled Lapland in Finland, dubbed the ‘home of Santa Claus’.

With over 4.3 million packs hitting stores nationwide, the promotion is set to take stores by storm; tapping into a series of modern cultural moments.

That Christmas will have its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on Saturday 19th October 2024 before coming to Netflix globally on Wednesday 4th December 2024.

The film is based on a trilogy of children’s books by beloved multi-award-winning writer, Richard Curtis.

Produced by Locksmith Animation, directed by animation veteran Simon Otto (How to Train Your Dragon trilogy) and penned by Richard Curtis and Peter Souter, the film stars Brian Cox as Santa, Fiona Shaw (Ms. Trapper), Jodie Whittaker (Mrs. Williams), and Bill Nighy (Bill) as the residents of a charming seaside town, which is hit by the blizzard of a century and threatens to cancel Christmas.

The film also features the original song “Under the Tree” written by Ed Sheeran and Johnny McDaid and performed by Ed Sheeran.

Alistair Gaunt, Commercial Director at Hovis® said: “Christmas really has come early for us here at Hovis®, and we couldn’t be more thrilled about our unique partnership with Locksmith Animation. A space where bread and entertainment have combined as one! We’re hoping the exclusive family competition brings all the magic and excitement that comes with Christmas while celebrating a fantastic film that has been created by a roster of extremely talented people.”

Simon Otto, Director of ‘That Christmas’, added: “What a special treat to get our very own ‘That Christmas’-themed Hovis® bread.  I am proud that we get to partner up with such an iconic British household brand and hope that Hovis® lovers will enjoy our movie as much as we loved ‘baking’ it.”

The promotion on Hovis® Best of Both® will be supported on Hovis social channels with engaging content focused around That Christmas to encourage competition entry.

Once the film releases on 4th December, there will also be recipes available to allow fans to enjoy an “Officially Nice” sandwich themed around the movie.
