Haleon has appointed Michael Durkin as the new Sales Director for Great Britain (GB), effective 1 June 2023.

With over 10 years’ experience in sales and marketing within the consumer healthcare industry, Michael has been with GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (GSK) and Haleon since the start of his career. He most recently held the position of Marketing Lead Oral Health for Great Britain & Ireland (GBI) at Haleon.

Michael began his career at GSK in 2011 as Sales Territory Manager and held numerous positions at the company before joining Haleon in January 2022. Most recently, Michael was responsible for marketing and innovation plans across GBI, driving stakeholder engagement, and developing execution models for its multi brand portfolio. Most notably, he delivered a full commercial strategic overview of Haleon’s oral health portfolio, setting a comprehensive three-year growth framework for our brands.

Michael has extensive experience in the GB commercial environment working across all of the trade channels in many different functions and will bring a lot of value to the partnership with our customers.

Before transitioning to Haleon, Michael’s previous roles at GSK Consumer Healthcare include GBI Marketing Director for Oral Health Care, Marketing Director for Pain and Healthcare Controller for different channels, amongst other sales roles earlier in his career.
