As the holy month begins, Asda is making it easier for customers to find what they need with dedicated Ramadan aisles in 139 stores nationwide and an extensive range available online.

As the cost-of-living crisis continues to impact preparations for Ramadan across the UK, it’s more important than ever that households can celebrate with loved ones, without the hefty price tag. Asda is helping customers save time and money with its one-stop shop offering, meaning shoppers can find everything they need, at amazing value, in just one shop.

For Ramadan 2024, Asda has introduced promotions across 105 fresh products from Halal meat and fresh produce to bakery. From now until 21st April 2024, customers looking for ingredients for Iftar centrepiece can find Shazans Chicken Breast (1.8KG) for £11.20 (reduced from £12) and until 10th April, Shazans Mince Beef (500g) for just £4 (reduced from £4.40).

To help make Iftar and Suhoor preparations more affordable, from 14th March to the 1st April 2024, Asda customers can find selected fruit and vegetables for under £1 each, as part of Asda’s Fab 5 offer on produce. During this time, the offer will include Asda Asparagus 150g (was £1.35, reduced to 69p), Asda Aubergines (was 95p, reduced to 59p), Asda Lemons 4-pack (was £1, reduced to 59p), Asda Onions 3-pack (was £1, reduced to 69p) and Asda Pineapple (was 95p, reduced to 69p). 

Asda has also introduced market-leading prices on trusted brands, from now until 21st April 2024, including KTC Sunflower Oil 5L at just £6.50 (reduced from £9) and Elephant Atta Medium Chapatti Flour 10kg for just £7. The retailer has also dropped the price of customer favourite, Laila Basmati Rice 10KG, from £19 to £13.50 (saving over 25%) with customers already reacting positively to the deal online, with one shopper saying “Asda has the best deals on rice 10/10!!”

Other store cupboard essentials on offer include, KTC 400g tins of chopped tomatoes, plum tomatoes, chickpeas and kidney beans available at 4 for £2 until 24th April. Plus, fridge favourites such as Lancashire Farm Yoghurt 1KG for £1.60 and Asda Paneer 200g for £1.75 which are on offer until 10th April.

Plus, returning for a second year due to its popularity last year, is the Ramadan Countdown Calendar now cheaper than last year at £2.75. The calendars contain celebratory chocolate treats inside and provide a highly engaging and interactive way to educate children on the significance of Ramadan, as well as proving equally as popular with adults. Last year, customer reactions to the launch of the calendars in-store included: “So beautiful to buy for our little ones”, “How cool is this? A Ramadan Calendar, spotted in my local Asda” and “Massive shout out to @asda – the #ramadan advent calendars – love that Asda always make an effort have [sic] a Ramadan event! Thank you!”
