Market leading salad brand, Florette, has updated its packaging with a refreshed new look.

The new design has been created with a fresher and more natural look and feel using a contemporary colour palette, with a focus on Florette’s ‘Always Made with Sunshine’ brand position, after consumer analysis showed that shoppers made the connection between the ‘Sunshine’ message and a tastier, fresher product.

In addition, using consumer insight, the new packaging now includes a large ‘Washed & Ready to Eat’ flash, as well as messaging around Florette’s proud heritage as a farmer-owned brand.

The new packaging will be available in retailers, wholesale and convenience stores across the country from mid-April across the entire range of Florette products.

John Armstrong, Marketing Director commented: “Florette always follows the sun to ensure that only the very best quality leaves make it into each of our products and – thanks to our network of farms -it’s what stands us apart.

“It therefore made sense to incorporate all these factors into our new packaging. Sunshine is a powerful territory that speaks to everyone – just thinking about salad leaves grown in sunny fields is instantly appealing and immediately makes us feel happier and healthier. We believe this new packaging will impart these positive feelings and inspire shoppers to buy into the category.”

The launch of the new packaging is the first of several innovations in 2018 for Florette, which is also set to launch a range of exciting NPD, backed with a new marketing campaign across TV, digital and social channels.

John Armstrong added: “As market leaders, it is our responsibility to steer progress through innovation. We’ve got a sensational line-up of new products planned this year to inspire many different meal occasions, which we believe will shake-up and invigorate the fresh category.”

Florette, which has a large network of farms across Europe, ensures that only the leaves that have had the perfect balance of temperature and natural light levels are harvested – meaning that every leaf in every bag has been grown in just the right amount of sunshine.
