Otter Brewery is expanding its off trade range with the launch of two exciting new additions: Otter Black (4.0% ABV) in 440ml cans, and Tarka lager in 330ml bottles.

Following the successful introduction of Otter Black last year, Otter Brewery is pleased to now be able to offer this much-loved stout in a new canned format. Providing the perfect settle, customers simply chill, invert and pour for a rich and creamy pint that is ideal for at-home socialising!

Patrick McCaig, Managing Director at Otter Brewery enthuses:

“We have been thrilled with the customer response to Otter Black and the opportunities that has come with this. With stout now the beer of choice for many, we are pleased to offer drinkers a pint that truly encompasses a taste of the South West. As the demand for regional stout continues to grow, we have had numerous requests for Otter Black in cans, and we are delighted to now make this irresistible pint accessible to retailers and their customers as well.”

Each can features the same flavoursome Otter Black that customers have been relishing over the past year. Based on the original recipe, these new cans incorporate local ingredients, including flaked and roast barley from Dartmoor, English Marris Otter malt and a blend of Willamette hops and classic English Fuggle, for a delicious and truly unique flavour profile. Smooth and refreshing, this easy-drinking stout delivers an exquisite taste of coffee and caramel alongside deep aromas of fresh roasted barley and cocoa.

It is not just Otter Black that is being revised for the off trade. Otter Brewery’s popular lagers, Tarka Pure (4.8% ABV) and Tarka Four (4% ABV) are also being launched in 330ml bottles to cater for the increased occasions for at home drinking. Brewed to traditional Bavarian standards, Otter Brewery adds a British twist to these lagers, incorporating natural and local ingredients to satisfy drinkers’ current demand for artisanal, and more importantly, regional beers. Crafted from UK-produced hops and malt, Otter Brewery’s unique yeast culture and water drawn from the head springs of the River Otter, Tarka Pure and Tarka Four deliver a refreshing, lightly sparkling pint that is a favourite with customers during the warm, summer months.
