Certainly Wood, the company that introduced the world to kiln-dried logs, is launching Flamers, a new, natural firelighter, to the grocery trade at this month’s National Convenience Show.
Handmade in the UK using wood wool dipped in wax, Flamers are odourless, easy to light and, what’s more, you need just one to light most fires.
Flamers are the perfect, eco-friendly accessory for outdoor living this summer and are ideal for lighting everything from open fires to wood burners as well as BBQs, fire pits, chimineas and pizza ovens.
Flamers come in three different pack sizes:
Mini 3 pack (RRP 79p)
24 pack (RRP £3.49)
50 pack (RRP £5.99)
Certainly Wood’s innovative new product has been sold exclusively for the last two years via garden centres and independent retailers. It has already proved its potential, with retailers experiencing annual growth of well over 30% whilst customers are giving Flamers rave reviews as a ‘refreshing change’ from the traditional, somewhat overpowering, paraffin firelighter.
Certainly Wood has invested heavily in a new marketing campaign for Flamers in 2014, bringing the product to life and providing a unique, fun approach highlighting both the winter and summer sales opportunities. The company will also be attending trade and consumer exhibitions throughout the summer to further raise brand awareness.
A high-profile national PR campaign is planned for the brand together with a new website and activities across the major social media channels. The launch into the grocery trade is also being marked by a new packaging design, focusing on the product’s USPs for both summer and winter.
Certainly Wood was set up eight years ago by George and Nic Snell as part of a family farm diversification project to sell firewood and kindling. It’s now UK’s largest specialist producer of British kiln dried logs, kindling and natural firelighters. The company is committed to high quality, British, sustainable wood production – their wood fired kilns use waste created during the production process and additional energy is supplied from their extensive solar panel installation.
