Lancashire-based Farmhouse Fare, the market leader in the £94 million traditional puddings market, is teaming up with iconic British brand Lyle’s Golden Syrup to launch a new luxury syrup sponge pudding.
The introduction of the 500g, family size pudding spearheads a far-reaching NPD programme which involves the introduction of 8 innovative new luxury puddings, Farmhouse Fare’s biggest ever NPD launch.
“The Lyle’s branded pudding will attract more younger families to the traditional desserts market by combining the best quality hot eating sponge with the most well known golden syrup, presented in an instantly recognizable pack” says Nigel Parrott, Daniels Group Marketing Director.
The 500g pack will have an rrp of £2.99 and will be presented in outers of 6.
Farmhouse Fare is also introducing a raft of innovative, new luxury puddings, in a variety of sizes, to stimulate category growth during the key seasonal trading period.
The new line-up includes two 700g puddings – Luxury Sticky Toffee and Luxury Sticky Chocolate; Two 500g puddings – Luxury Sticky Toffee Apple and Luxury Sticky Gingerbread and Treacle; Two 450g puddings – Luxury Bakewell Sponge and Luxury Lemon Sponge and a 600g Creamy Rice Pudding With Red Fruit Compote.
The new product launches, including the Lyle’s Golden Syrup pudding, have already secured listings with key multiple retailers, including selected Tesco and Sainsbury’s stores, from September.
