Enco Products, the company which supplies almost one third of all Caribbean food and drink sold in the UK*, is maintaining its 2013 NPD drive with two major product launches.
The Grace Foods UK subsidiary is launching a four-strong range of Grace-branded Scotch Bonnet Hot Pepper Sauces and a range of three Dunn’s River branded spice mixes and coatings.
Using peppers grown in the foothills of Jamaica, the 142ml Grace scotch bonnet sauces include two made with yellow and green scotch bonnets, plus Caribbean Curry and Sweet ‘n’ Spicy variants. The sauces come in shelf ready packaging, in outers of 6 with an rrp of £1.79.
The 300g Dunn’s River spice mixes and coatings can be used to make southern-style chicken and also with a range of other meats, fish and vegetables, highlighting the versatility of the Dunn’s River range. In outers of 6, the spice mixes retail around £2.49 and the coat and bake mix at £3.25.
Enco Products Brand Manager Giuseppe Vullo says the NPD brings yet more choice for people looking for authentic, ready-to-use Caribbean products and, in the case of Dunn’s River, for scratch cooks wishing to use the tastiest ingredients for their Caribbean dishes.
“The NPD underlines our commitment to providing retailers with products that will continue to grow the category and enable consumers to enjoy the true taste of the Caribbean, with the promise of more to come this year.”
In addition to the major NPD activity, Enco Products will be staging Caribbean Food Week (August 19 – 25) this year, the UK’s biggest celebration of Caribbean Food and Drink.
